After testing more AI tools than I care to admit, only a few made it into my real workflow. The useful ones reduce friction, fit the way I already work, and help me move faster without lowering quality.
Code Generation
AI-assisted coding has changed how I build. It is strongest when I stay responsible for architecture, constraints, and review, while letting the model speed up drafting, exploration, and repetitive implementation.
Writing and Research
For long-form work, AI is a strong thinking partner. I use it to brainstorm, outline, and pressure-test ideas, but the judgment, voice, and final structure still need to come from me.
The 80/20 of AI Tools
Most people use too many tools. Pick two or three that integrate well into your existing workflow and learn them deeply. The real leverage comes from repetition, not novelty.
